Terms of Service

Last updated: May 19, 2026

These Terms govern your purchase and use of Loadscope (the "app"), a desktop application for macOS and Windows provided by Loadscope LLC ("we", "us"). By downloading, installing, or using Loadscope you agree to these Terms.

1. License

Loadscope is sold as a one-time purchase granting you a perpetual, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use the app for your personal handloading and shooting use, and includes updates to the app at no additional charge. You may not resell, redistribute, sublicense, rent, or share your license key, or attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or circumvent the app's licensing.

2. What Loadscope is — and is not

Loadscope is a software tool that organizes and analyzes data you collect from your own chronograph and target apps, and computes predicted ballistic ("DOPE") values from inputs you supply. Loadscope is not a source of published reloading load data: it does not supply start or maximum powder charges, cartridge overall lengths, or load recipes. Any "suggested" or "winning" charge or seating depth it highlights is a statistical ranking of the loads you personally tested — it is not a safety-vetted recommendation of what is safe to load or fire. Predicted ballistic data is an estimate produced by a model, not a measurement.

3. Reloading & shooting safety

Loadscope is a tool for organizing and analyzing data you collect during precision rifle load development. It is NOT a source of published load data — it does not supply start or maximum charges, cartridge overall lengths, or load recipes; obtain those only from current reloading manuals. When Loadscope highlights a "suggested" winning charge or seating depth, that is a statistical ranking of the loads you personally tested — not a safety-vetted recommendation of what is safe to load or fire. Predicted ballistic data is an estimate, not a measurement; confirm it by live fire at known distances before relying on it for any shot. Always cross-reference loads against published manuals from powder, bullet, and cartridge manufacturers, watch for pressure signs, and start below maximum and work up. The developer is not liable for any damage, injury, or loss resulting from use of this app. You assume all risk associated with handloading and shooting.

4. No warranty

Loadscope is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the app will be error-free or that any prediction, score, or output will be accurate for your rifle, components, or conditions.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, property, profits, personal injury, or death, arising out of or relating to your use of (or inability to use) Loadscope, even if advised of the possibility. You assume all risk associated with handloading, load development, and shooting. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

6. Payments, taxes, and refunds

Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy, which acts as the Merchant of Record and handles billing and applicable taxes. Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (30-day money-back guarantee). Your purchase is also subject to Lemon Squeezy's own terms at checkout.

7. Privacy

Your use of Loadscope is also governed by our Privacy Policy. In short: your load data stays on your computer; we do not collect it.

8. Changes & contact

We may update these Terms as the product evolves; the "last updated" date will change. These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the developer resides, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Questions: support@loadscope.app.
